The primary purpose of this visit was to further strengthen academic collaboration between Institut Tazkia and IIUM in line with the Tazkia Forum Academic International agenda, taking place in Malaysia from September 18 to 20, 2023.
During this visit, both institutions organized an International Public Knowledge Movement (PKM) aimed at providing a platform for Tazkia students to engage in intellectual exchange and participate in seminars. This initiative serves as a testament to the commitment of both institutions to foster global academic excellence and innovation.
One of the most noteworthy outcomes of this collaboration is the upcoming launch of online talks and joint research initiatives between Tazkia and Kulliyyah of Economics and Management Sciences (KENMS). Scholars and researchers from both institutions are eager to embark on cutting-edge research projects, further enhancing academic knowledge in various fields. Additionally, plans for visiting researcher programs, lasting from one to two weeks, were announced, providing a unique opportunity for scholars to immerse themselves in the partner institution's academic environment.
The delegation's visit extended to the International Institute for Halal Research and Training (INHART) IIUM, where discussions focused on the agenda points, and staff exchange, and explored the possibility of offering short certification courses. These courses, certified by INHART and taught by INHART trainers, would provide students with specialized knowledge and skills, including certifications. This collaboration aims to provide students with a well-rounded education that combines the strengths of both institutions.
Furthermore, delegation visited to International Institute of Islamic Business and Finance (IIBF) IIUM, which encompassed topics such as staff mobility, student exchange programs, matching research grants, hosting visiting researchers, collaborative publications, and the involvement of external examiners and supervisors.
As these collaborations progress, both institutions look forward to a future filled with academic excellence, research breakthroughs, and enhanced educational opportunities for students.
